The first test I took was the implicit bias test from Harvard. The study indicates that I automatically favor European Americans. Considering my answers, I assumed the results would show a bias towards African Americans. The analysis is accurate. Prejudice against African Americans is one of the underlying reasons behind this. We are exposed to discrimination in society. A considerable influence on how we view others comes from the mainstream media and the underlying racial tones we are told to daily. It is unfortunate, but African Americans face a lot of criticism and discrimination. Much of this occurs in one's subconscious, which one isn't fully aware of but significantly impacts one's actions and feelings. In addition to African Americans, I have observed that underlying prejudice also exists among other African Americans.
